The experience was advertised as 2 hours but the show only lasted 55 minutes so it wasn’t worth £22 pp. The wine tasted like vinegar. However the actual water show was good but wouldn’t go back.

Show was very good was spoilt by bar staff running up and down when people videoing show bar was very slow to serve which caused the problem. information poor as had reserved tables which we probably would have booked. Bar staff should have a route round back of audience

After reading reviews about this show we booked it and were absolutely amazed by the experience. The hour long show started slowly with colourful water fountains set to music but it really comes into it's own when the light show starts as well. Absolutely fantastic and would highly recommend.

Far too expensive, had to pay adult prices for kids 12 & 14. Still had to queue at ticket office even though prebooked. All the good seats were reserved, no option for reserving seats when I booked through TUI. Displays were repetative and started 15mins late

De sterren van vandaag zijn de ruïnes van het antieke Salamis en het oude centrum van Famagusta, plus de 'spookstad' Varosha. Stavroula, een van onze deskundige lokale gidsen, zegt: "Het gebied rond Famagusta is rijk aan schatten uit de oudheid, de middeleeuwen en daarna. Volgens de lokale overlevering waren de mensen in de middeleeuwen zo rijk dat ze 365 kerken bouwden om elke dag God te bedanken voor hun comfortabele leven en overvloed.”Je avontuur begint in Salamis, een stad die in de klassieke oudheid werd gesticht en meer dan duizend jaar de hoofdstad van Cyprus was. Je wandelt over de oude wegen langs de ruïnes van tempels. Het gedeeltelijk gerestaureerde amfitheater is een must-see. Met een beetje fantasie zie je hier de voorstellingen en festivals uit het verleden voor je. Vervolgens ga je naar het 5e-eeuwse klooster van St.-Barnabas, waar je het iconenmuseum met exemplaren uit de Byzantijnse periode bezoekt.Dan wandel je samen met een gids door het spookachtige Varosha, waar de tijd al tientallen jaren stil staat. Ooit was het een populair vakantieoord, maar is al bijna 50 jaar compleet verlaten. Na wat vrije tijd om te lunchen verken je Famagusta, een stad die in het verleden een van de rijkste steden aan de Middellandse Zee was. De gids laat je de bezienswaardigheden zien, zoals het Venetiaanse kasteel en de gotische kathedraal die nu een moskee is.

Het lijkt net of je in een dorp rondloopt en niet midden in een stad.Nadat je de Groene Lijn bent naar het noorden bent gepasseerd, hoor je alles over de geschiedenis en cultuur als je de highlights. Om weer terug de moderne tijd in te wandelen en Ledra Street in het zuidelijke deel op je eigen tempo te verkennen.

Varosha was ooit een bloeiend vakantieoord. Maar deze wijk in het noordelijke deel van Cyprus ligt er al meer dan 50 jaar verlaten bij. Op deze excursie met een open bus ga je naar het hart van deze vergeten plek. En je hebt ongeveer twee uur vrije tijd om rond te kijken.
