Po krótkiej podróży promem na wyspę, najpierw udasz się do Qala Point, aby podziwiać niezakłócone widoki na Wyspy Maltańskie. Następnie odwiedzisz wpisane na listę światowego dziedzictwa UNESCO świątynie Ggantija, które pochodzą z czasów sprzed egipskich piramid. Ciekawa historia dotyczy także średniowiecznej cytadeli w Victorii, stolicy wyspy. Yohanna dodaje: „Victoria pierwotnie nazywała się Rabat, jednak dla upamiętnienia diamentowego jubileuszu królowej Wiktorii w 1887 roku, nazwa została zmieniona. Zobaczysz tu wiele brytyjskich wpływów, ponieważ przez 164 lata znajdowała się pod brytyjskim panowaniem”.

Następnie odwiedzimy solniska, aby zobaczyć proces pozyskiwania soli na wyspie. We only had about half an hour to spend at Victoria Citadella. 5 minutes of which was listening to stories of Pope's visits. Also the church and salt pan stops were unnecessary. I would have liked an hour at the citadella instead of those stops. Anthoney's guidance and informative commentary was spot on. The day was perfectly timed, with a post breakfast pick up and delivered back to hotel in plenty of time for dinner. The lunch included wine or water. A beer would have been nice.

Overall, a great experience. The guide was superb however, we could have spent more time in the Citadel and also exploring the area where we were after lunch. Gozo is by far more authentic than the main island.

Gozo og Malta er kun adskilt af en smal kanal, men forskellene er iøjnefaldende. Gozo er grønnere, mere afslappet og tyndt befolket. Du får en dybdegående beskrivelse af øen på denne lille gruppetur kun for voksne med besøg på Victoria Citadel, Ta'Pinu Basilika og Dwejra-bugten.
