Dieser Ausflug ist nicht nur Cineasten zu empfehlen. Ich habe schon viele Urlaube auf Ischia verbracht, aber die Plätze und Lokalitäten, die der Tourguide, Herr Kellenberger, hier aufbietet, waren mir längst nicht alle bekannt. Meine Erwartungen wurden nicht nur erfüllt - vielmehr versteht es Herr Kellenberger, die Gäste vorzüglich zu unterhalten, zu überraschen und jederzeit ansprechbar zu sein. Und die Punktlandung zum grandiosen Sonnenuntergang vor der Seefahrerkirche in Forio war filmreif!

First up is Ischia Ponte. Packed with peeling pastel-coloured houses and dominated by the Aragonese castle, it's as seductive as it appeared on screen when it hosted Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law in The Talented Mr. Ripley.
In Casamicciola, you'll visit the ruins of a former first-class spa resort destroyed in the earthquake of 1883, before stopping by Piazza Santa Restituta – meeting place for stars of the silver screen during Hollywood's heyday. There's a break for an apéritif at the luxurious seafront Regina Isabella Hotel in Lacco Ameno before heading to Forio old town. A stroll over to Chiesa del Soccorso viewpoint sets the scene for a stunning sunset to round off the tour.
