A major highlight of the town, the Acropolis of Lindos, is considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites on Rhodes. Excavated in the early 20th century, the ruins of this acropolis are located on a steep cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Situated on the Greek island of Rhodes, Lindos is said to date back to the 10th century. This tourism hotspot attracts travellers with charming beaches such as the popular Lindos Beach, the quieter Pallas Beach, and the picturesque St. Paul’s Bay.
In addition, since many of the buildings in Lindos have flat roofs, rooftop restaurants are quite common and can be enjoyed year-round thanks to the region’s Mediterranean climate.

“Es war keine geführte Tour nach Lindos. Durch die Stadt musste man selber zurechtkommen. Tourleiterin erzählte von der Akropolis. Die man dann gemeinsam bestieg. Leiterin konnte gut Deutsch. Nur sprach sie öfters davon, daß die meisten das erzählte vergessen werden. Da wir früh dran waren (9:00), konnten wir den starken Touristen Strom beim Aufstieg vermeiden. Danach waren die Gassen, Akropolis und Stufen voll mit Leuten. Eintritt für die Akropolis extra zu bezahlen (20€).”

“Preis Leistung stimmt hier nicht. Busfahrt, wenig Information vom Guide, Eintritt und wenig Freizeit. Um 200 Euro für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder. Es wäre besser gewesen mit dem Taxi zu fahren und die Tour alleine zu machen.”
