Dlaczego warto?
  • This guided tour takes you to a pair of the Costa del Sol's prettiest towns, Frigiliana and Nerja
  • You'll visit the Nerja Caves, a five-million-year-old network of caverns with ancient artwork
  • A glass of regional wine is waiting for you when you reach the hilltop town of Frigiliana
  • The views of the coast from the Balcony of Europe, a viewpoint in Nerja, are hard to beat
  • Your expert local guide knows everything about the towns and villages you'll tick off
Czego możesz się spodziewać?

Framed by rugged mountains behind and rocky coves in front, Nerja anchors La Axarquia, the most traditional part of the Costa del Sol. On this full-day tour, you'll explore the white village of Frigiliana and the charming coastal town of Nerja. Reme, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Frigiliana is known as the Pearl of La Axarquia. It was where three cultures converged, and you'll see evidence of this as you explore the town. Above the trio of spouts at the Fountain of the Three Cultures, you'll see three symbols – the Christian cross, the Jewish Star of David and the Muslim crescent. See if you can find these three symbols together elsewhere in the town.'

Your day starts over in Nerja, a coastal town that's retained a typical Andalusian village atmosphere and a vibrant street scene. Here, you'll discover a mazy, whitewashed old quarter crammed with shops and cafés, plus there's a local museum to visit. It's also home to a network of prehistoric caves that stretch for 5km. Known as the ‘natural cathedral of Malaga', you can explore the caves and see and even touch some of the oldest cave paintings in the world in an exclusive experience that isn't open to the public.

Set in a dramatic location on the foothills of the Almijara Mountains, Frigiliana is our second stop. You'll have some free time to explore the flower-filled lanes under your own steam. Amble along the narrow, hilly streets of the Moorish old town – the Barribarto – and browse handicraft shops selling all kinds of local produce before we'll break for a glass of wine. The town is consistently ranked as one of the prettiest in Andalusia, thanks to its winding streets paved with pebble mosaics and brightly coloured doors. Then, you'll finish the day at the famous ‘Balcon de Europa' promontory, which has great views along the coast and of the surrounding mountains.
