overall this trip was good the guide very informative and the captain of the boat friendly. the meal at the restaurant was also good. downside. informed of change of pick up time by rep ONLY after we had asked her . then it was changed again via E-mail the day before the trip. which is OK if you have easy access to E-mails. there was no air con in the mini bus and not able to open ANY windows 15 people in a mini bus was not the most pleasant of journey

We really enjoyed this trip. The guide was very knowledgeable, the boat trip was lovely and we had ample opportunity to take photos of the ancient tombs. We also saw loggerhead sea turtles which was amazing. The guide ordered us crab for an extra cost and we kept the shells to feed to the turtles which they love. Itzuzu beach also lovely. Negatives: initially couldn’t book on the app, lunch was average and ticket info said excursion would last 8hrs but received an email day before saying 12hrs.

It wasn't advertised anywhere that it would be a three hour transfer from our hotel to the excursion. The actual cruise, mudbath and beach were enjoyable but the 6 hours of driving was not. The trip was advertised as 8 hours, but including driving it was actually 13. With this information we may not have booked.

Dalyan flodbåtstur med lunch och Iztuzu-stranden

Att vara omgiven av naturen på en flodtur från Dalyan är ett bra sätt att varva ner. En av Turkiets mest orörda stränder är resmålet, med stopp vid gyttjebad och en restaurang vid flodstranden på vägen. Ceren, en av våra lokalguider, säger: ”Iztuzu Beach är också känd som Sköldpaddsstranden eftersom utrotningshotade oäkta karettsköldpaddor häckar här. Det är en magisk plats med mycket lite mänsklig inblandning. På 1980-talet var det tänkt att stranden skulle bebyggas med nya resorter, men lyckligtvis prioriterades bevarande.Segla nerför Dalyanfloden på en miljövänlig båt - som inte skadar det marina livet - och ha kul när du smörjer in dig med anti-ageinglera i gyttjebaden. Det är bra för att ge huden lyster och man tror att Kleopatra besökte staden för att skämma bort sig i den mineralrika flytande leran. Sedan lägger du till lite historia och kultur till mixen när du fortsätter på flodbåten förbi lykiska klippgravar - med anor från 400 f.Kr. - uthuggna i klipporna.När floden vidgar sig till en lagun får du chansen att se fågellivet innan du lägger till vid Iztuzu-stranden. Denna 4 km långa gyllene sandstrand skiljer floden från havet och är en naturlig oas som är en verklig fristad för vilda djur. Stranden är skyddad av berg och mynnar försiktigt ut i en lugn vik, där en eftermiddag av ren avkoppling väntar. Avsluta dagen med en avkopplande flodtur tillbaka till Dalyan.

Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary tour with lunch in Sirince

Ephesus is one of the best-preserved archaeological sites from the classical era. Highlights include the Celsus Library and the Great Theatre. You'll also discover the House of the Virgin Mary and stop by Sirince for a spot of lunch. Gökhan, one of our local guides, says, ‘During the time of Emperor Tiberius, Ephesus was the most important city in Europe apart from Rome. It was wealthy due to its flourishing commercial activity, home to 250,000 people and culturally very advanced. The site is truly impressive – so much detail remains.'Let your expert your guide transport you back in time, learning about the living past of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the Celsus Library, built with double walls to protect its scrolls from the heat. Peek into houses still decorated with frescoes, and nose around the public baths, brothel and shops. Walk down Marble Street to see the Great Theatre, a spectacular 24,000-seater dug into the hillside, which once rang with the cries of gladiators and the sermons of St Paul. There's a museum at Ephesus, too, which you'll walk through during your visit. It's digital exhibits are designed to show off what Ephesus might've looked like when it was at its peak. Next, we'll visit the House of the Virgin Mary, a Catholic and Muslim shrine. There's a wishing wall, where you can leave written prayers, and a fountain whose waters are believed by some to have miraculous powers.
