Pamukkale is one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in Turkey.
The big attraction is a vast white cliff side with scallop-shaped basins of water and frozen waterfalls. It looks as if it is made out of snow or cloud or balls of cotton. The ruins of Hierapolis are the other main attraction. The city was founded in 190 B.C. by Eumenes II, king of Pergamon. Finally, you can swim in the sacred pool (Sacred pool of Cleopatra) where the ruins of Apollon temple are in it. This pool is high in calcium and it is said that Cleopatra took her beauty because of it.
